I find vulnerable times with people quite daunting. Well, emotions do not scare me (far from it!), but tangled situations that have to do my past mistakes do. What can become of you when your heart shrinks within you?
Quite simply, God holds me together. Me, the one in the midst of the beautiful, terrifying mess called restoration. And I love Him for it. Because even in those times when I can hardly analyze my own feelings… He comes and shows me that He is more constant than the sea, and that growth is more complicated than I thought before.
And for once, that’s okay. Why? Because there’s beauty in the vulnerability, oh my. He is constant and we do grow. And the beauty to be found has a name, and His name is Jesus.
“You shall be called the repairer of the breach,
The restorer of streets to dwell in.”
-Isaiah 58:12 (ESV)
